About this model
The marginal scutes of this turtle's shell became the beads of an abacus: ten captive tiles, two rows of five, so numbers are felt as fives and friends of ten. Nothing falls out, nothing gets lost, nothing can be swallowed. The download includes both turtles, the counting abacus and the flexi braille turtle, with STLs, Bambu support projects and the OpenSCAD sources.
A sea turtle with carved shell scutes whose rim holds ten captive sliding tiles, five per side like a rekenrek. The spine carries a raised plate with TURTLE in braille and raised capitals; the head swings and the flippers sit in ball joints.
