A tactile 3D model of a building you choose, a landmark, a church, a school or your own house, made to order and available with a QR code, for example to an audio guide.

How ordering works

  1. Tell me which building you want through the design request form. Photos, drawings, a web page about it or just the address are all fine.
  2. I design your model, send you my suggestion, and confirm the final price before anything is printed.
  3. Once you approve, I print, check and ship your piece from Denmark.

About this piece

I make tactile models of buildings, so the shape of a place can be understood by hand. The example in the photos is my model of Rosenborg Castle in Copenhagen, printed in seven colours: red brick walls, sandstone trim, green copper roofs, gold weather vanes and white statues. It is about 260 x 277 x 315 mm, roughly the size of a forearm, and it stands on a plinth with braille. My Rosenborg model is not a 100% likeness. The only help I used was AI, for descriptions of the castle and for the iterations of the design. If you want a 100% faithful copy, I can make that: I then use sighted help to get even the smallest details right, and that is included in the price. You can choose the model with or without a QR code. The QR code sits on the plinth next to the braille, and it can hold whatever you want, for example a web address. On Rosenborg, the QR code opens a guided audio tour of the castle. If you choose the QR code, you tell me what it should contain when you send your request. Every building is different in size and detail, so I send you a firm price before I start.
